What are Databases?

Databases are full text journal articles, encylopedias and other electronic resources and many libraries today make them available to its users. Granville College Library subscribes to a number of them but few people realize just what useful treassure trove of information lies therein. To this end the library set-up a kiosk for anyone to drop in and have a 'stickybeak', find out as much or little as they like about it.
The kiosk was located on the second level near the Information Desk and was serviced by staff for an hour everyday from the 7th to the 18th of March. The event was promoted widely throughout the college and listed on 'Granville This Week'. Many students and staff dropped in for a session, proving that it was a worthwhile initiative.

Yes we do...have a Wiki

Get more from your library, visit our Wiki and find great support resources for your course. Learn how to 'point a wall'...yes 'point' not paint a wall or maybe learn to fix that leaking tap. Find previous HSC exams with mark guides or download and print a list of DVDs and Magazines found at the library. Even just check the grammar on that important essay.
Explore Wikispaces and find much more. Visit http://granvillelibrary.swsi.wikispaces.net
